I don’t know about you, but I am a seafood LOVER. I grew up on Whidbey Island, and lived in South Florida for several years so when I heard that Chums Shrimp Shack was moving to St. Charles I made it my mission to stop by for a visit. Chums Shrimp Shack recently moved from East Dundee to St. Charles, where the owners Tony and Jennifer Solare reside with their family. Chums is dedicated to serving quality shrimp, lobster, seafood, Po’ Boys and chicken tenders to St. Charles, IL and the surrounding communities.
If you are wondering where Chums Shrimp Shack is located, they took over the longtime home of The Beef Shack right on the corner of Randall Road and Main Street. They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 11am -9pm. They have plenty of seating if you want to dine in with your friends and family. Or, if you are looking for a quick bite, give them a call or order online ahead so you can quickly get in and get on your way.
I had the chance to sit with Chris Wilson, the Head Chef at Chums where he made me fresh lobster macaroni and cheese, beer battered friend shrimp and grilled shrimp. I was blown away by the quality of the seafood and the time and effort put forth in every bite. Chums makes every order fresh to order. Nothing in made ahead so you know you are getting the very best for you and your family. They are also well known for their variety of sauces. I had a sweet and spicy dip with my beer battered shrimp that was just the perfect level of heat that didn’t overwhelm the delicate taste of the shrimp.
Chums Shrimp Shack also caters many events both big and small. Whether it’s an order for your office at lunch or a weekend gathering for all your friends and family, Chums Shrimp Shack will take care of you.
