Kristy Wynveen has been shopping consignment clothing both for herself and for her four kids for many years. She saw there was a gap in the market in The Fox Valley for a children’s consignment store and moved forward with her dream to own and deliver the Fox Valley a beautifully curated collection of children’s clothing and accessories.
Always Growing Collective shares a space with Always In Style, a women’s consignment store. They are located right in the heart of downtown Geneva, next door to Pure Barre and very close to the Geneva Metra station. Kristy opened the doors of her store in September and had her Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony on November 5th, 2021. She carries boys and girls sizes from newborn up to size 16. You can find clothing, accessories, boots, shoes, pajamas and so much more.
If you want to consign your children’s past season clothes simply go to her website and make an appointment to have your clothes reviewed by her team. They will sort and price items they accept and set aside items that they do not accept. The items that go up for consignment stay on for sale for up to 60 days from the day they arrive. The best part? You can use the money you earn to buy your child’s next size up!
I personally love to consign. Not only because it’s easy on my family’s clothing budget, but also because there are unique items available in consignment stores that you can’t find anywhere else. I don’t know about you but I can make a pretty big stack of clothing that my girls have that match exactly those from my neighbors and kid’s friends down the street. Consigning helps you find treasures that both you and your kids will love.
Consigning also helps the environment! Clothing manufacturing and disposal hurt the environments in a variety of ways. Upcycling clothing helps the earth and helps keep our planet clean for generations to come.
