Gerrit Husar started his venture with a flower farm in St. Charles that specializes in dahlias and sunflowers. He dipped his toes in retail with his shop on the Batavia Boardwalk in 2021. His happy business has been growing ever since and earlier this year he opened the doors to his retail store on Wilson Street right across from the Batavia Library. The storefront in Batavia offers fresh cut flowers in arrangements ready for you to pick up today or you can call or stop in and Gerrit will help you create something extraordinary for that special person in your life. Farmdog Flowers also carries a variety of gift items such as candles, bath bombs, tea, plants, topiaries, kitchen décor, towel, dishware and so much more. There’s something for everyone!

What I love most about Farmdog Flowers, aside from Gerrit’s sunny disposition, is that the flower arrangements that he creates are unmatched. The attention to detail from the flowers he sources to the arrangements he makes are really second to none. I’ve been following Gerrit on Instagram for the years he’s had his business and every arrangement looks like a work of art. It’s a though every stem was chosen to work with the others to create a unique and luxurious feel.
