The House of 423 is located at 10 E Wilson St, Batavia, IL 60510.

At the end of last summer, I was strolling down Wilson Street in Batavia when I wandered into a cute baby store and ended up finding a rather hidden gem called House of 423. At the time the owner Sarah Whitt was renting the back half of a store shared by ruby jane, a baby and children’s clothing store. I had my big stroller (and big, happy baby) with me, but I could just make out a women’s store hidden behind the cute onesies and pacifiers. I maneuvered my way back and found Sarah standing there with a big smile happy to greet me. If you’ve ever tried shopping for any length of time with an infant during naptime you know my time was limited. I grabbed a few very cute pieces and headed home. But in my brief time with Sarah, I found her to be incredibly warm and inviting. I knew I would be back!

At the end of last year, I reached back out to Sarah to see if she would be interested in being featured on the Know Your Neighbors of the Fox Valley video series and she surprised me with the amazing news that her store would be expanding and taking over the former storefront of ruby jane. She essentially would be doubling her space and earning a coveted storefront in the booming downtown of Batavia. Sarah said she would love to participate but needed to take down and wall or two and get her store in tip-top shape before she would be ready.

Fast forward to today and Sarah is doing better than ever. She’s even considering taking on more store hours and doubling her employees! I’m so very happy for her and for you readers because House of 423 has some very beautiful pieces! I picked out this cute Malibu Waves blouse and gorgeous gold-filled earrings (looks like the one I choose is sold out but there are many other gorgeous things here!) as well as this Chestnut Sling Bag. The sling bag is perfect for anyone who needs their essential items close and easy to access. I recently went to California and wore it both to the beach and to Disney so I would be hands free to help my kiddos. It comes in other colors as well. You can message Sarah on her Instagram for photos of the other options! And here is the gorgeous embroidered tiered dress that Sarah is wearing in the video.

One of the product lines that really sets House of 423 apart are her beautiful selection of jewelry. The jewelry is all either fully made of brass or gold filled. And so many of the styles are very timeless and ones that I will reach for again and again for different occasions.

Sarah is also a whiz at helping you select the perfect pair of denim jeans. She filled me in that the style that everyone is gravitating towards these days are wide leg, straight leg and boot leg. Move over skinny jeans, there’s competition!

Are you someone who might need a private styling session? Sarah offers one-to-one personal styling sessions so she can help you update your wardrobe or get ready for a special night out!

Finally, I must mention that the House of 423 also carries a beautiful line of Batavia Bulldogs clothing that will have you ready for spirit day and Homecoming in no time! There’s even a gorgeous hand dyed sweatshirt that has hand embroidered Bulldogs across the neckline. I ordered mine while I was chatting with Sarah!
