“My husband and I have lived in the Fox Valley pretty much our entire lives. We have been married for 23 years. We went to high school together. Shout out to St. Charles East but we are so old it was just St. Charles High School, when we went there. Our roots are strong here. We have three boys ages 22, 19 and 17. Which means we are almost empty nesters. We both have our businesses here in the Fox Valley. We simply love it here. Fitness has always been a huge part of my life. I don’t just love how it makes me physically feel stronger but I love how it makes me mentally feel better, too. Which is why my fitness studio, the Yoga Den is so near and dear to my heart. I love sharing the joy of fitness with others. And in doing so, I hope I can share my belief that healthy looks and feels different on every BODY! We need to shut down these ideas of summer bodies are made in the winter. Or that silly quote, “New Year, New You” and instead, we need to embrace our bodies now! We need to love ourselves right now. We need to have fun right now. That is what we are all about at the Yoga Den. Working out, is how I keep myself sane in all the craziness of my life. Working out is about needing an hour of me time. A time to get away from my reality. I truly believe that the Yoga Den offers those same things to our clients, too. It is a space where you can walk inside, check your “baggage” at the door and simply focus on yourself.”

I love that the community truly feels like family.

Grow Geneva, (I have sort of a plant addiction), The Royal Wren and Jade Clothing Geneva.
What are her favorite things to do?
Go to the French Market on Sunday mornings to grab some fresh flowers. Walk my dogs along the river. And of course, grab a class at the Yoga Den.
What are her 3 favorite restarants?
Cotto A Legna, Fox Fire Geneva and Barrel and Rye.
