Have you ever had one of those moments in life where if your younger self could see what your older self is doing they would be flabbergasted? Well that pretty much sums up how Shannon feels standing in the middle of her GORGEOUS store located in the heart of St. Charles. While she has always had a heart for interior design, the idea of having her own brick and mortar store was not something she was planning for. The Pep Line is the brainchild and product of the hard work and success of her first business Peppeard Design. She started in interior design helping friends and family members and over the course of years fully chased her dreams and built a very successful interior design business. And what do interior designers need to fulfill their clients wishes? Home décor! The Pep Line was born because she was already pulling all these beautiful pieces for her clients and wanted to find a way to bring these items to the public.
At The Pep Line you will find “goods for the home with furniture, lighting, art, home decor and accessories designed to create one-of-a-kind spaces that welcome family and friends.” Literally every square foot of Shannon’s store is so thoughtfully pulled together. She found the home for The Pep Line when she was walking through downtown St. Charles and saw the for-rent sign on the door. Shannon and the owner hit it off and on their first meeting Shannon found herself standing in this historical home with the keys in her hand and the dreams of her store starting to unfurl. The Pep Line is located in the front portion of the home located at 201 Cedar Ave where the basement is also part of the store and the upstairs is where she runs her interior design business Peppeard Design out of. She also has the cottage on the back of the property and a beautiful outdoor patio area where you can stop and sit for a rest and enjoy the beautiful Illinois summers.
Some of my favorite items from The Pep Line is this beautiful treescape artwork, this Happy To Be Here Planter (which is currently in my kitchen) and this hand carved wood face. And that’s just the home décor side of things. She also sells rugs, lighting, furniture, kitchen ware, candles, handbags, and so much more!
